Synchronization doesnt work as expected

the program does not synchronize as expected. instead of downloading the DropBox status and changing the local file accordingly, it uploads the changes

In addition, the update symbol in the top right corner does not go away, no matter how often I download and update the files.

Requirements

⇒ Fill these information below:

• Desktop OS (name and version): Windows 10
• App OS (name and version): 10.0.19045 Build 19045
• TheocBase version: 2024.01.0
• Language used: German

If i click that update button, it downloads a bunch of files but after restarting theoc base the button appears again and i can download the same stuf again.

Second symbol cant be attached because of i am a new user…
i am speaking now of the cloud symbol with the download arrow in it

if i press it, i expect to overwrite my locale files. but it just synchronise. So my local files get uploaded.

An other issue i found just now is that you cant change the Dropbox files from IOS Iphone app.
I changed one thing to force the symbol to get the downloadarrow again, but you cant overwrite the dropbox files with the iphone at the moment

I can upload and everything is ok.
In my installation the upload button is everytime I was in the print menue unvalid.
The print menue seems to change something in the data set.

i did some tests now.

if i do changes from an other device, it will sync the new data from the server as expected.

if i have local the newest data and do a change that i want to undo both buttons will synchronise anyway. (see picture)

Maybe this behavior is intentional, but then i am missing a button just for overwriting the local files

Hi @Stefan

• The problem with the update, that’s don’t disappears is a know bug. Just ignore it for now as @tb-hucste mentions
• The “delete local files” - try to hold your mouse over the “sync-icon”. Here you can delete local files (see screendump below)
• The iOS data problem could be
• 1. The iPhone don’t have “write permission” to Dropbox. Apple just updated some security in the last iOS update, where many files rights was reset.
• 2. You could try do some backup / copy / delete and paste the data in Dropbox to reset all “datestamps”
• 3. I just tried to update some data on iPhone and it’s was included in the next Dropbox update on my computer
