SSL error after update – Dropbox sync not working

Unfortunately, after updating, I encountered an error: “Your installation doesn’t support SSL. Install the OpenSSL runtime libraries.” I tried installing OpenSSL (openssl, libssl-dev, libssl1.1), but it didn’t help. Eventually, I had to revert to the previous version, where everything works fine.

maybe it’s time to use a newer Ubuntu version…
alternatively you would probably have to install openssl 3, as described here:
